'After five years of pushing the envelope in the armed forces my body was a wreck. I suffered from elevated cortisol, severe acid reflux, digestive malabsorption, depression, anxiety, hormone imbalance, and was more than a little ashamed of what my general state of health and fitness had become. Three deployments overseas, working 10-18 hours a day 5-7 days a week, often reduced to MREs, white rice, a lack of available vegetables or fruit I trusted, bottled water that sat on pallets in the heat leaching chemicals into the water....leading good men and women for too little money and living at an operational stress level few humans will understand...fitness has always been my meditation, my stress relief, my calling, but even that was falling apart. One day I'd had enough of accepting all that and I reached out to and What I've learned since then, in the last nine weeks, and the changes I've seen, has not only been invaluable, but has legitimately helped bring me back from a bad place. I learned that while I understood quality food, I was completely off the mark when it came to macronutrient ratios and nutrition timing. I was starving my body in ways that only promoted fat storage and was leaving me drained. I've only been this lean before by way of extremely excessive amounts of metabolic conditioning wether due to the professional athletic training demands of special operations selection, or to my own masochistic obsession with training. Running, rucking, swimming 15-30 miles a week...or training MMA/running for 2-3 hours a day. I would go hard enough to puke and just keep going. I see all these nutrition coaching companies that don't give a shit about health, they only care about calories & following a fraudulent methodology. You cannot be healthy, or reach your goals, but eating gummy bears, Gatorade, inflammatory foods, or fitting shitty foods into your macros. Heavy weight is starting to feel light!!! 275 snatch from last night.... things are starting to come together for masters nationals in 4 weeks has the best products on earth and keep me going each day is the mindset and the squad!

Saturday I lifted in my first weightlifting meet and I qualified for masters nationals with a 112 kg snatch and a 130 kg clean and jerk. I'm so thankful for everybody that came out and cheered me on. I obviously couldn't have done it without and by my side helping me with warmups and making sure I was ready to lift. I'm also so thankful for the companies that support me thru training and non existent posts. fed me everyday and helped me get down to weight.... fueled the workouts and helped me recover in my old age..... and keeps my dad bod covered up.
