One year ago today, my young 63-year old mother lost her fight with sarcoma, a rare cancer. She was way before her time in so many ways. She protested the Vietnam War. She was one of the only women working on Wall St in the 70's. She knew how to properly set a table with every piece of silverware (to start, fork on the left, knife on the right, blade facing in). She always said, "Your education is the one thing nobody can ever take away from you." My mom was a Republican but I find it symbolic that last night, on the eve of the 1 year anniversary of her death, Hillary Clinton clinched the Democratic nomination and in her speech she thanked her late mother DOROTHY. I will end this by saying thank you to my mom for being so fierce, so fabulous...and a fighter. I miss you every day & love you forever.
